a small stick in his hand and upon the fool of the
Bedstead wherein the deced had lain he found a
Handkerchief with two of the ends tied and the Streets
and Pillow case which were in the deceds Bed the
over Night therein that part of the Pillowcase was
hanging out of the HandkerchiefDept. collared the
deced and charged him with taking the Sheds &
Pillow case away the Deced made no [..] answer
to the change only desired Dept. not to use him ill
that in a little time after the deced was taken to the
Watch house where Dept. left him in charge of
the Watchhouse Keeper of Saint Saviours

Thomas's Hospital maketh Oath that the deced was
brought into said Hospital about nine o Clock on
Wednesday Morning lastThat Dept. attended the
decedthat aboutabouttwelve O Clock the deced
appeared some what sensible but could not speak that
deposited to a Card (whereon was wrote Wm. Chesterman)
& made a Sign for something to write with Dept. got
a Pencil and delivered it to the deced that with some
difficulty he wrote David Chesterman upon the back
of the Cardthat the deced continued in [..]
state until the Sunday Morning [..] following about twelve
O Clock when he departed this Lifethat about
twelve O Clock on Saturday Night the deced [..] in
alow feeble voice expressed a Wish that his Mother might
be sent for.
