Informations of Witnesses taken at
the precinct of Bridewell Hospital in the
ward of Farringdon without in London
aforesaid on the 11th day of July 1792 on
view of the Body of Philip Brooks< no role > now
here lying dead.

James Broad< no role > a Coal heaver and a Lodger at No. 2
Helmet Court Thames Street London maketh Oath
that he hath known the deced about six Months that
he was also a Coal heaver that about five O Clock
in the afternoon of Monday last Dept. [..] deced
with some other persons were employed in loading
a Cart with Coals [..] at Mr. Cloves Wharf [..]
Quay in the Precinct of Bridewell Hospital that
Dept. had just landed on the Wharf with a Sack of
Caols and was returning to the Craft lying alongside
the Wharf that the deced was going along a Plank from
the second Barge laying near the Wharf to a third Range
that lay [..] without and in passing along his feet by
some mean slipped from under him and he fell in to
the WaterDept. immediately ran to the deced and
caught hold of him by their hair of his head. but the
deced struggling very much Dept. could not keep
his hold and the deced [..] sunk under
the Water near the head of the third Barge
that in a few Minister after the deced was taken
out of the Water. that he appeared dead. that he was
taken to a house near there were medical assistance
and experiments were tryed to recover the deced
but without effect.
