Depositions of Witnesses taken at the
Vestry Hall in the Parish of Saint John
within the Borough of Southwark in
the County of Surrey the 4th: day of
August 1791 on view of the body of
a man unknown now here lying dead.

of the Parish of Saint John Southwark maketh Oath that
Yesterday having been informed that a drowned Man
lay at Morsley down new stairs in the said Parishthat
about two OClock in the afternoon of same day Dept. went
to said Stairs that he there saw the deced lying in a
shell or Coffin upon the landing place of said stairs
and had Men called Bearers appointed by the parish
to convey drowned Menfromto the Bonehouse of said
Parish that the deced had his Cloaths on and appeared
to have layed some time in the water
