An Inquisition Indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at London
that is to say at the Parish of Saint Bridget otherwise Bride in the ward of Farringdon without
in London aforesaid on the Eighth day of March in the thirty first Year of the reign of our
Sovereign Lord< no role > George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland
King defender of the faith and so forth Before Thomas Shelton< no role > Gentleman Coroner of our Said
Lord the King forth City of London and Borough of Southwark on view of the Body of
William Tempest< no role > now here lying dead by the Oath of Samuel Oughton< no role > John Crabb< no role >
William Barnett< no role > William Chandler< no role > Arthur Hicks< no role > , John Deane< no role > , William Eades< no role > , John
Chosen Samuel Rowe< no role > William Collins< no role > William Greenfield< no role > James Rogers< no role > and James
your [..] and Lawful men of the City of London aforesaid who being now here duly
Chosen sworn and charged to inquire for our Said Lord the King when now and in
[..] the said William Tempest< no role > come to his Death say upon their Oath that
[..] said William Tempest< no role > being a Prisoner in this Majestys Prison of the Fleet on the
[..] day of March in the Year aforesaid was and for a long time before had been sick and
diseased his Body and of such Sickness and disease did Languish and Languishing did
live until the said Sixth day of March in the Year aforesaid where the said William
Tempest witness the, Prison aforesaid by the visitation of God deed a natural Death
and by no violent means or method whatsoever In Witness whereof as well the said
Coroner us the said Samuel Oughton the Foreman of the Jurors on behalf of himself and
the rest of his Fellows in their Presence have to this Inquisition set their hands
and Seals the day Year and Place First above written.
