Southwark

Depositions of Witnesses taken at His
Majesty's Prison called the Bridewell situate
in the Parish of Saint George within the
Borough of Southwark in the County of Surrey
the 29th. day of December 1790 on view of the
body of John Tyler< no role > nowhere lying
dead

John Stringer< no role > a Prisoner in His Majesty's Prison
called the Bridewell maketh Oath that he hath known
the deced since the 18th. instant the day the deced came
into the Prison that the deced was a very dirty Man and
had a number of Vermin about him that he used to scratch
himself very much that he also had the Stehthat the
deced at a very good Supper about eight OClock on Sunday
Night last that in the course of the next Morning Monday
last the 27th: instt. the deced was taken ill with a Lightness in
Richard that he took to his Bed and continued in a state of
delcrium until about the hour of Seven in the Morning of
Yesterday the 28th instt. when he departed this Life that the
Surgeon who attends the said prison attended the deced once
since Monday Mornings last that the deced had some Wine
and Tea given to him that the deced had several marks on
his breast and arms which were occasioned by his scratching
himself in consequence of the Itch.
