in the County aforesaid who being now here duly chosen sworn and charged to Inquire for our said Lord the
King when how and in what manner the said

came to his death say upon their Oath that the said

on the tenth day of September in the Year aforesaid being employed in the lodging and
Stowing of a certain large piece of Mahogany into the hold of a certain Vessel called the Samuel and Sarah then lying
in the River Thames
and one end of the said piece of Mahogany being then and there suspended by means of a
certain Rope fastened to a certain Crane then being on a Wharf of and belonging to oneDavis and the said

being then and there near unto the said Piece of Mahogany it so happened that the said and of
the said piece of Mahogany so suspended as aforesaid did then and there accidentally casually and by
misfortune fall upon and against the right side of the head of him the said

whereof he the said

did then and there Receive one mortal wound and bruise in and upon
the said Right side of the head of him the said

Of which said Mortal Wound and bruise he
the said

did then and there instantly die And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath
aforesaid do say that the said

in manner and by the means aforesaid casually and by
misfortune was accidentally killed And that the said piece of Mahogany was moving to the death of the said Christopher
Wright and is of the value of three shillings and the property of and belonging to the saidDavis In Witness
whereof as well the said Coroner as the said George Skinner the Foreman of the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his fellows
in their presence have to this Inquisition set
