Information of Witnesses taken at
the Parish of Allhallows Thames Street
in the Ward of Dowgate in London the
30th. day of January 1790 on view of the
body of David Foster< no role > there lying dead.

Robert Scampton< no role > of Marden Lane St. James's Garlick
he the London Carpenter maketh oath that last Thursday afternoon
the deced who was a Carpenter and workman so Mr Gutbins was
at brook in his masters Yard No. 82 Thames Street in the Parish of
Allhallows the Great in the Ward of Dowgate London, and Dept was
at Work near him Says a Pile of Deals was near them and
an Arch whereon they rested giv'g way the deals fell down
upon the deced and also upon Dept. and Dept being much
hurt he immedl. afterwds. went home with wsiting while the
deals were taken from off the deced.

Middx Sawyer maketh oath that last Thursday afternoon
Dept being at Work in his Master's Mr. Gubbins Yard No 82
Thames Street he heardthea Pile of Deals that was near him give
way which occasioned him Joseph forwards to endeavour to avoid
being hurt, notwithstandg. which many of the deals fell upon
deponent, and the deced who was more under the deals behind
Dept was entirely overwhelmed by them; that Dept assisted to
take off the deals from deced, who was very much hurt and killed.
