LondonInformations of Witnesses taken at
the Precinct of White friers in the Ward of
Farringdon without in London aforesaid
the 13th: day of August 1788 on View of the
Body of John Evans< no role > then and there lying
Dead

John Stevens< no role > a Lodger at Mr. Richardsons No:2
White fryers Labourer maketh Oath and saith that
about four OClock Yesterday Morning (the 12th: instant) as
Dept. and one Samuel Evans< no role > were going down to a Mr.
Beets Wharf situate in the Precinct aforesaid he saw
something lay on the Mud (the tide being nearly
down) which he supposed to be a drowned Man that
he told said Evans so that he and said Evans went< no role >
at near to the place as they could that they found
it to be Man which appeared as if he had been
drowned that the deced seemed quite dead. That
Dept. and said Evans immediately went and
informed the Beadle of said Precinct
