The Condition of this Obligation is such That if the above bound John Vale< no role >
shall and doe by the best means that he can teach and instruct or cause to be
taught and instructed his new Apprentice William Dionys< no role > a poor Child of ye sd
parish of St Dionys Backchurch in the art of a Cardwayner which he the sd.
John Vale< no role > now useth and find and provide for the said William Dionys meat drink
Apparell washing lodgeing and all other necessarys during the terme of seven
years from the date here of And dureing the said forme shall and dee cause
him to be well instructed in reading good English and in the art of writeing and
casting accounts so far as the Rule of Three and doe and shall save harmless
and keep and indempnified the said parish of St. Dionys Backchurch & the Church-
wardens of the same for the time being of and from all maintenance of the
sd William Dionys< no role > and all Costs charges damages & expences which may arise or
happen unto the sd parish of St. Dionys Back church by reason or means of the
sd William Dionys< no role > and at the end of the sd terme of seven years or within
three months then next following procure the sd William Dionys< no role > to be admitted
into the liberty & freedome of ye Citty of London according to the Custome of ye
said Citty That then the abovewritten Obligacon shall be voide & of none effect
But if the sd John Vale< no role > doe make default many part of the premisses then ye sd
Obligacon shall be & remaine in full force power & virtue.
