The Minutes of the last Vestry of the 19th. Instant
were Read and Confirmed.

Vaults}
Then Mr. Church Warden Barber acquainted the
Gentlemen present that Mr. William Crichton an
Inhabitant of this Parish had applied for leave to
build a Vault in the Church as a Burial place for his
Family, and that Mrs. Crichton the wife
of the said Mr.
Crichton being lately dead, he had summoned this Vestry
at a short notice, in order that Mr. Crichtron's Request..
might be considered.
Ordered that so much of an Order of Vestry bearing
date the 5th. day of September 1745 as relates to the Grant
of a Piece of Ground in the Church to the late Mr. John
Cheslyn
as a Burial place be read And the same was
read accordingly.
And Mr. Thomas Hudson< no role >
was heard concerning the
space of Ground required by Mr. Crichton for the
purpose aforesaid. Audit was the opinion of the Gentlemen
present that the Parish ought to be paid a Sum not less
than Forty Pounds if the same was Granted, And some
Observation being made whether the Consent of Rector
was necessary to be obtained in this case, It was determined
to the contrary, so far as the Parish was concerned.
Mr. Maynard then Moved that the Sense of this
Vestry be taken, "whether the Parish should Grant such
"Rice of Ground to Mr. Crichton, on his paying a Sum of
"Money not less than Forty Pounds as a Consideration And
being Seconed, the Question was put and Carried in the
Affirmative Nem: Con:
