The Lord Chancellor Lord Treasurer and Judges by
Virtue of an Act of Parliament made in the 19th. of
Henry the 7th. Allow and Approve as farr as by law
they may Allow and Approve of the following Acts
Ordinances Constitutions and oaths for the Company
of Carpenters Vizt. Reciting the Act of Parliament
of Henry the 7th. It is hereby Enacted that no Master
Wardens fellowships of Crafts or Mistery's nor any of
them nor any Rulers of Guilds or Fraternities, Should
take upon them to make any Acts or Ordinances
to Execute any Acts or Ordinances by them heretofore
made in Disheritance or Dimunicon of the
Perogative of the King nor of other nor Against
the Comon Profitt of the People. But if the Same
Ordinances were Examined and Approved by the
Chancellor Treasurer or Cheif Justices of Either
Bench or 3 of them or before or before both the
Justice of the Alizes in their Circuit or Progress in
the Shire where Such Acts or Ordinances be made
upon Pain of forfeiture of £40. for Every time they
Do the Contrary

Consent and Assent of the whole Cominalty willing
and Desiring the said Act in all and Every thing be
Duely observed And Kept. Exhibit a Petition with a
Book Containing the Ordinances Following for the
Better Governing the Guild or Fraternity and their
Successors as aforesaid, To the Lord Chancellor Etc a
above which was by them Approved of and is as
Followeth Vizt.

Ordaincd that the Master and Wardens and Such as have
been Master and Wardens, and the livery of the Company
Within the City of London for ever the 2d Monday in ye
Month of August or any other Day as Shall be Agreed
