In 1726

The Carpenters Compo. Leased to John Bourne< no role > Three very
houses in Fenchurch Street wch Seem to have been built as
100 Years ago for 61 years from Lady Day 1726 at £44 A Year

In 1728

Mr. Bourne Mortgaged these houses to Sr Cha Wagor< no role > for
£400 and Interest

Mr Bourne is lately failed & a Comicon of Bankrupt
hath issued against him and the Creditors are not willing to pay
off Sr Cha Mortgage wch is £400 and Intrest from 1728 to
this Time but will Lett Sr Cha take the houses in Satisfaction
of the Debt if the shall think fitt.

That Sr Cha has not yet taken Possession of these
houses in Regard they are so very antient and it will not be
worthwhile to lay out any Mony in Repairing the houses But
they must be New built from the Ground.

It Is therefore Submitted to the Company whither
they will accept of the Leave & take the houses into their hands
and pay off Sr Charles Mortgage, or to Cower ye Ground Rent
or Grant Sr. Cha a longer term in order to Encourge him to
Rebuild the Houses.
