Memorandum It is this Ninth day of February 1744 Agreed
between the Worshipfull Company of Carpenters London of the
One part and Thomas Wenham< no role > of Old Bethlem London Cook of
the other part as follows the said Company doth hereby agree to let
to the Said Thomas Wenham< no role > all that then Messuage or Tenement
Situate in London Wall as the same was lately in the Occupation of
Eleanor Horton< no role > at the yearly Rent of Eighteen pounds payable
Quarterly and to Comence from Lady day next on evening for one
years certain & half a years Warning & the said Thomas Wenham< no role >
to give half a years Warning Whenever he leaves the said premises in
case he stays longerthatthan one year & an half and the Company
is to do the following Repairs & Alteracons that is to say-

The front of the House to be paintedA New [..] the Pent house over the
Window to be brought out as fair as next over the done the Gutter in the Yard to be emptied the Buck at the
door to be removed the Ritehen to be White Washed & such
Necessary Repairs as the Renter Warden shall which proper
And the said Thomas Wenham< no role > doth hereby agree to take the Said
premises upon the Ternis above menconed & will pay the Rent
Accordingly & now paid One Shilling in part of payment for
the find Quarter Rent as Witness [..] his hand this Eighth day
of February 1744.
