Court day Janry the 4th. 1742 Continued

It is this 4th. day of January 1742 Agreed between the Worshipfull
Company of Carpenters & John Simmons< no role > of Henly upon Thames Carpenter
in manner following that is to say the Company does hereby agree to lett by
Lease to the said Summons their Messuage or Tenement of the Hopp ground with the
Appurtenances late in the possession of the Widow Davon deced for the term
of Sixty one years to Comence from Midsumer day next at the yearly Rent
of Seven pounds payable half yearly ViztMidChristmas day & Midsumer
day clear of all Taxes with usual Covenants But the said Summons shall
be obliged to lay out the sume of Sixty pounds on the premises within
One year from the Comencement of the intended Lease And the said John
Simmons does here by agree to take a Lease upon the Terms abovemenconed & will
Execute aLeaseCounterpart of said intended Lease within three months
from the date hereof Witnessmyhis hand the day & year aboveWritten
