was postponed being put upper
Overseer
for the year ensuing, he claiming an Exemption
from all Parish & other Officers by his being one of the
four Coal Makers, and appointed thereto by Warrant from the
Commissioners of the Customs
Ordered that the Vestry Clerk do take the Opinion of
a Civilian whether a Coal Makers appointed is Exempted
by his Majesty's Patent to the Commissioners of the Customs
of the 2d. day of December 1769.
A Motion was made & Seconded that the whole Expences of
Dining with the Churhchwardens on the present & every
future Election Day be defayedley the several Inhabitants
& Persons who shall so dine And consequently the two
parts of such Expence be charged to the Parish And on the
Question being put It was Voted & Ordered accordingly.
