and that about the sum of £20. now remain in the hands
of the said Mr Layton part of the money collected by him on
the said Church Rates
And that the Monies remaining due to Workmen on their
several Bills amount to £178:0:0
Whereupon the Vestry having taken the said Report into
Consideration Voted and Ordered that Mr Thomas Sabe< no role >
and
Mr John Hirst< no role >
Do on behalf of this Parish Enter into an
Agreement for Accepting of Five Shillings in the Pound
for the Ballance so due from Mr Lee to the Parish
Resolved and Agreed that the Churchwardens
said Messrs.
Sabe, Hirst & Layton do as soon as possible Collect the
monies remaining uncollected on the before mentioned Church
Rates, and receive the above mentioned Composition of five
Shillings in the Pound And there with pay the Workmen's
Bills for Repairs Etc as far as such monies to be received
will Extend And that they Report at a future Vestry what
will then remain unpaid to the Workmen
Ordered that Messrs. Lee & Layton's Accounts for the year
1764 be Audited [..] on Monday the 24th Instant
at ten of
the Clock in the Forenoon at Mr Kenton's the Crown and
Magpye in Aldgate Hight Street
