Puckridge

Aldgate in the said County Singlewoman taken on
oath before me one of his Majesties Justices of the Peace
in and for the said County in this Seventh day of
February 1787 - who upon oath Saith that She is
now with Child and that the said Child is likely to be [..]
born a Bastard and to be chargeable to the said
Parish of St Botolph without Aldgate And that
Lawrence Moore< no role > of the same Parish Son of
Thomas Moore< no role > of the said Parish Salesman is
the Father of the said child

in the sd county Mariner and late the widow of William
Knarston
< no role > deced taken upon oath before me one of
his Majesties Justices of the Peace in and for the said
County this ninth day of February one thousand
Seven hundred and eighty Seven -Who upon oath
Saith that on eighteenth day of July 1783 at
Lower Eastsmithfield in the Parish of St Botolph
without Aldgate in the sd County She the said Helen
Gibbs
< no role > was delivered of a Male Bastard Child Since
baptized & registered by the name of Henry Sheppard< no role >
And that the said Bastard child is likely to become
Chargeable to the Said Parish of St Botolph without
Aldgate And that Henry Sheppard< no role > of the same Parish
Mariner & Master of a Ship did gether with child of the
said Bastard Child and this Examinant farther Saith
that her said late husband Kuarston died on the fifteenth
day of April 1782 being about the Space of Six Months
before the sd Henry Sheppard< no role > had Carnal Knowledge
of her Body and that long Since the birth of the said
Child She has been Married to her Present husband John
Gibbs
< no role > who is now absent from her at Sea & his Settlemt
unknown
