Settlement by Apprenticeship

Middlesex ss}

Charles Sawyer< no role > maketh oath that
by Indentine dated the twelfth day of February 1750
he was duly bound apprentice to Oswald Whaley< no role > of the
Parish of St Mary White Chapel in the said County
Perukemaker for Seven years & Served the whole of
such his Apprenticeship with his said Master in the
said Parish & allways lodged in his sd Masters house
there That he has not Since lived as a hired Servant for
the Space of a year elsewhere or rented a house of
Ten Pounds a year or upwards or Served any Parish
office or Paid any Poors Rates or kings Taxes or
done any act to gain a subsequent settlement
That he hath a wife named Martha< no role > & four Children
namely James< no role > aged about eight years Charles< no role >
aged Six years & half Holloway< no role > aged about four
years & William< no role > aged two years the lawful issue
or this Deponent. by his said wife to whom he was
lawfully Married
