Edward Catherell< no role > maketh oath That divers
years ago he was duly bound Apprentice to & Served his
Apprenticeship with his Brother in Law Henry Ford< no role > in the
Parish of St Botolph without Aldgate in the Sd County Lighterman
& Waterman & by means thereof gained a legal Settlement there
That he has not Since rented a house of Ten pounds a year or
upwards or Served any Parish office or paid any Poors Rates
or Kings Taxes or done any Act to gain a Subsequent Settlemt.
That he hath a wife named Isabella < no role > & two Children namely
William < no role > aged about two Years & half & Edward < no role > Aged about
eight Months the lawful Issue of this Deponent by his Said
wife to whom he was lawfully Married

ago She was hired & lived as ahired servant by the Year with
one Richard King< no role > in Mansfield Street in the Parish of Saint
Mary Whitechapel in the Said County Gentleman at Ceratin
Wages & Continued in Such Service for the Space of one
Year & three Quarters & by means thereof gained a legal
Settlement there That She has not Since lived as a hired servant
for the Space of a year elsewhere nor was She ever Married
nor hath She done any Act to gain a Subsequent Settlement
That She hath a Female Child aged about Six Weeks born
of her Body in Brown Bear Alley in the Parish of Saint
Botolph without Aldgate in the Said County which Child is
illegitimate & a Bastard & one Gray Arnold< no role > is the Father
of the Said Child.
