Ann Steel< no role > otherwise Ann Macglaskey< no role > maketh
oath That near Twenty Years ago the Ceremony of a Marriage
or pretended marriage was Solemnised between this Deponent
& one Bryant Macglaskey< no role > an Irishman deced by a Romish
Priest whereby this Deponent then Apprehended that she became
his Wife & in Consequence thereof she & the sd Bryant Macglaskey< no role >
Cohabited togethr as Man & Wife But which Marriage she this
Deponent has been since advised & believes is Wholy Void in Law
That she this Deponent previous to such pretended marriage
was hired & lived as a hired Servant by the year with one Gifford
a Taylor in King Street in the Parish of St Botolph without
Aldgate in the County of Middx at Certain Yearly Wages &
Continued in Such Service for the Space of three Years & by means
thereof gained a legal Settlement there That she has not Since
lived as a hired Servant for a year nor done any Act to gain a
Subsequent Settlement save What she might have Acquired by
Marriage as aforesd.
