John Medhurst< no role > maketh oath That divers
Years ago he rented a house in the New Way in the Parish of
Saint Margaret in Westminster in the County of Middlesex
of the Yearly Rent of Ten Pounds & ten Shillings & resided
thereon for the Space of one year & three quarters & by means
thereof gained a legal settlement there That he hath not since
rented a house or other Tenement of the yearly Rentor Value
of Ten pounds or served any Parish office or paid any Poors
Rates or Kings Taxes or done any Act to gain a Subsequent
Settlement That he hath a wife named Ann < no role > & two Children
namely Thomas < no role > Aged about Six Years & half & William < no role > aged
about Ten Weeks the lawful Issue of this Deponent by
his said Wife to whom he was lawfully married.

divers years ago She was hired & lived as a hired Servant by the
Year with Robert Whitehead< no role > in Lower Eastsmithfield in
the Parish of Saint Botolph without Aldgate in the Sd. County
Cook at Certain Yearly Wages & Continued in such service for
the Space of one Whole Year & upwards & by means thereof
gained a legal Settlement there That she this Deponent has not
Since lived as a hired Servant for a year nor hath she ever been
married or done any Act to her knowledge or belief to gain a
Subsequent Settlement
