Benjamin Lewis< no role > maketh oath that divers Years ago
he was duly bound apprentice to John Hughes< no role > of the Parish of
Talsarn in the County of Cardigan in Wales Taylor & Served the
Whole of his apprenticeship there and this Deponent farther
Saith that since to wit divers Years ago he Rented a house of the
Yearly Rent & Value of Ten Pounds in Shoemaker Row in Dukes the
Parish of Saint James in Dukes Place in the City of London and
Continued in the occupation of Such house for the space of Two Years
& by means thereof gained a legal Settlement there and this Deponent
Saith that he hath not since done any Act to gain a Subsequent
Settlement and that he hath a Wife named Martha< no role > .
