Margaret Giles< no role > the Wife of Samuel Giles< no role > who
is lately gone away from her to places unknown maketh oath
That her Said husband has informed her & which she believes to
be true that he was born in the Parish of Saint John in
Southwarke in the County of Surry & that he served his apprenticeship
there with one George Burr< no role > a Waterman & by means thereof gained
a legal settlement there That to her knowledge or belief her Said
husband never rented a house of the yearly Rent or Value of Ten
Pounds nor ever served any Parish office or Paid any Poors
Rates or Kings Taxes nor ever did any Act to gain a subsequent
settlement and that she hath a Child named Eleanor aged< no role > about
Six years the lawful Issue of this Depont. by her Said husband
to Whom she was lawfully married.


Sworn this 15th day
of April 1773 before.
