Foot Guards Maketh oath That about Twenty Years Ago
and When a Singleman he was hired & lived as a hired Servant
for the Space of one Year & upwards at Certain Yearly Wages
With William Howlett< no role > of Trumpington Street in the Parish
of Saint Botolph in the County of Cambridge & by means
thereof gained a legal Settlement there That he this Depont.
never rented a house of the Yearly Rent or Value of Ten
Pounds nor ever Served any Parish office or paid any
Poors Rates or Kings Taxes nor to his Knowledge or belief
never did any Act to gain a Settlement Subsequent to his
Said Servitude That he hath a wife Named Sarah< no role > and three
Children Namely Thomas< no role > Aged about Six Years Sarah< no role >
Aged about four Years and Alexander< no role > Aged about two
Years the lawful Issue of this Depont. by his said Wife
to Whom he was duly Married at the Parish Church of
Saint Botolph without Aldgate London
