Lydia Roberts< no role > the widow of John Roberts< no role > deced
maketh oath that she hath been informed by her said late husband
That divers Years Ago and When a single man he lived as a
hired servant by the Year at the Yearly Wages of Six Pounds
with Mr. Roddle of the Parish of Arksey near Doncaster
in the County of York and Continued in such service for the
Space of a year which information this Deponent believes
to be true And this Deponent Saith that after she was
Married to her Said late husband he rented a Tenement or
Farm of Twelve Pounds a Year in the said Parish of Arksey
and Continued the occupation of such Tenement or Farm
for the Space of Three Years and there died and by Means
thereof and of his Said Servitude as She is advised he gained
a legal settlement there And this Deponent farther Saith
that to her knowledge or belief her said late husband did
not do any Act whereby to gain a subsequent settlement
And that she hath four Children to wit Mary< no role > Aged about
fifteen Years Sarah< no role > Aged about Thirteen Years Elizabeth< no role >
Aged about nine Years and Esther< no role > aged about Seven
Years the lawful Issue of this Deponent by her said
late husband none of which said Children hath as yet done
any Act to gain a settlement in their or either of their own
right.
