Sixteen years ago he was bound apprentice to
Roger Wetcheat< no role > a Mathematical Instrument maker
of the Parish of St. Sepulchres London with whom he
Served three years and then by Consent he was bound
& turned over to John Dibbett< no role > a Fisherman of
Barking in ye County of Essex with whom he Served
three years and upwards and then was pressed into
ye Sea Service And this Depont. saith that he was
never a hired Servt by ye year norgainedserved
any parish offices nor Rented a house of Ten pounds
a year or upwards nor gained any settlement
subsequent to his sd. Apprenticeship And farther saith
that he hath a wife Named Mary< no role > and a Child named
Eliz< no role > aged about [..] Fifteen Months the lawfull
issue of this Depont. & his sd wife
