The Examination of Catherine Taylor< no role >
Single Woman taken upon oath before us
two of his Majesties Justices of ye Peace for
the County of Middx (one whereof is of ye
quorum) residing in or Near to the limits
of ye Parish of St. Botolph witht Aldgate in
ye sd. County this 9th day of December
1752

This Examinant on her Oath Saith that abt. two Years
and a quarter ago James Wright< no role > Mariner who then lodged in
the house of one Mr. Stokes in Nightingale Lane in
ye sd. Parish of St. Botolph without Aldgate illegible/>

often come to ship Examinants Lodgings at one Mrs.
Graingers in three Ton Court in ye Parish of St. John
Wapping in ye County of Middx and did there prevail
on this Examinant to lye with her and had Carnal
knowledge of this Examinants body and often aftd. man
there & at other places did lye wich this Examinant
And that this Examinant Conceived with Child by him
of a Female Bastard Child of which she was
delivered at ye house of [..] this Examinants in King
