Thomas Hawkes< no role > maketh Oath that his Father
Thomas Hawkes< no role > about Thirty Five Years ago
lived in and Rented a House of Eight Pounds Ten
Shillings a Year or thereabouts in the Parish of
Trinity in the Minories within the Liberty of his Majesty
Tower of London in the said County & was Chargeable
to and paid Poors Rate & Kings Tax for the same
& lived there about Fifteen Years, and never did
any Act to his knowledge or Belief to gain a
Subsequent Settlement in any other Parish or
Place whatsoever, & that he is now living and
maintained at the charge of the said Parish
That he this Deponent was Born in the said Parish
has never been an Apprentice or lived as a hired
Servant by the Year in any Parish or Place
for the space of One Year together or Rented any
House or Lodging of the yearly Rent or Value
of Ten Pounds or paid any Poors Rate or Kings
Tax or done any Act to his knowledge or Believes
to gain a Settlement in his own right, That he
has a Wife named Esther< no role > to whom he was
lawfully married at the Parish Church of
St. Mary at Hill in the City of London on or
about the Sixteenth Day of March 1786 and a
Child named Thomas< no role > aged about Four years
the lawful Issue by his said Wife
