Continued Wednesday the 25th May 1796
to the Steward of Bridewell from Christmas last, for providing the
Prisoners daily with the usual quantity of Provisions.
The Court then took into consideration the Motion of which Notice
had been given by Mr. Till at the last General Court
Salary of Steward
of Bridewell increased
And Resolved That a Net Salary of £200 per Annum be
paid to the Steward of Bridewell, of which £150 per Annum part
thereof shall be charged to Bridewell, and the remaining £50 per Annum
to Bethlem Hospital, and that the said Salary shall be in lieu of the
Antient Salary of £100 per Annum and £12 per Annum for Keeping
the Accounts of both Hospitals, hitherto paid to the Steward.
Ordered that it be referred to the next General Court to consider
from what time the additional Salary of £58 per Annum shall commence

Bethlem Commee
The Court took into further Consideration the Motion made at the
last Court that the Bethlem Committee be empowered to lay out in the
present Year the Sum of £220 in the several repairs of the said Hospital
particularized in the Surveyors Report to that Committee on the 22d
day of March last
Whereupon the said Motion was unanimously agreed to
And the Court was adjourned.
