resigned his Staff as a Governor
Whereas by an Order of Court of the 10th. of January last it was directed that
in future if any Governor should be appointed or Elected into any Office belonging
to these Hospitals with a Salary annexed he should immediately resign his Staff as
a Governor thereof. And Doctor

this day been Elected Physician to these Hospitals came into Court and resigned
his Office of Governor It is Thereupon Ordered that the said Doctor

Monro be and is hereby released and discharged from his said Office of Governors

. Alderman Treasurer reported that he had given
directions for purchasing £3052. 10 Bank 3 per Cent reduced Annuities

President Treasurer and Auditor General In Trust for Bridewell Hospital
Mr. Treasurer likewise informed the Court that Mr. Thomas Margary one of the
Governors who purchased the said Stock had not charged any commission for
the same and that he had offered at any time either to purchase or sell Stock for
these Hospitals without charging commission And this Court being also informed
that Mr.

Whereupon a Motion was made and seconded that the thanks of this Court be
given to Mr. Margary and Mr. Maddison for their kind and benevalent
proposal and the Question being put it was carried in the Affirmative
Whereupon the thanks of this Court were given to Mr. Margary and Mr.
Maddison accordingly.
