Bridewell and Bethlem Hospitals Mr
Deputy Gabriel Leekey< no role > Gave Notice that
he should move at the next General Court
that in future if any Governor shall be
appointed on Elected into any Office
belonging to these Hospitals with a Salary
annexed shall immediately resign
his staff as a Governor there of


Governor shall be appointed or Elected into any Office belonging to these
Hospitals with a Salary annexed he shall immediately resign his Staff as a
Governor thereof.

Bridewell and Bethlem Hospitals
Mr Deputy Gabriel Lockey< no role > gave Notice
that he should move at the next General
Court that in future next any Officers
receiving a Salary from these Hospitals
Shall be committed a Govenor thereof


At this Court Mr. Deputy Gabriel Leekey< no role > gave Notice that he should move
at the next General Court to be held for these Hospitals That in future not any
Officer receiving a Salary from these Hospitals shall be admitted a Governor there of

Nominated a Governor


At this Court the following Gentleman was Nominated to be a Governor of these
Hospitals Vizt: The Right Honorable Sir Richard Pepper Arden< no role > Knight Master of
the Rolls It is Ordered that the consideration of this Nomination be referred to the
Committee of this House who are desired to make their Report there in to this Court.

Farquhar Walter< no role >
Nominated a Governor


At this Court the following Gentleman was Nominated by Leonard
Kilham
< no role > Esquire to be a Governor of these Hospitals Vizt. Walter Farquhar< no role > Esqr . of
Great Marlborough Street It is Ordered that the consideration of this Nomination
be referred to the Committee of this House who are desired to make their Report
there to this Court.

Carlisle Bishop of
and
Bingham The Revd. Archdeacon
their Benefaction of 2 Guineas each
reported


At this Court Richard Clark< no role > Esqr . Alderman Treasurer reported that he had
received of the Right Reserved Doctor Douglas Bishop of Carlisle Two Guineas
and of the Revd Mr. Archdeacon Bingham Two Guineas by the hands of the Revd.
Moses Wight for the use of the Incurables in Bethlem Hospital It was moved and
seconded that Mr. Wight be desired to give the thanks of this Court to the Lord
Bishop of Carlisle and Mr. Archdeacon Bingham for their kind and Charitable
Donations

Rayment George to be paid £10
Mr. Locks Gift


John Crozier Hart< no role > Esqr one of the Governors reported that in pursuance of an
Order of Court of the 28th. of July last he had made on Inquiry and found that
George Rayment< no role > late Apprentice to Edward Owen< no role > was set up for himself and has
the Character of a Diligent and Sober Man It is Ordered that the Steward do pay the
said George Rayment Ten Pounds out of Mr. Lock's Gift to be allowed him in his
next Account.

Burgess John
the Like


John Crozier Hart Esqr. one of the Governors reported that in pursuance of an
Order of Court of the 28th. of July last he made an Inquiry and found that John
Burgess
< no role > late Apprentice to William Scripps< no role > was set up for himself and has the
Character of a Diligent and Sober Man It is Ordered that the Steward do pay
the said John Burgess< no role > Ten pounds out of Mr Lock's Gift to be allowed him in his
next Account.

Gulliford Seth
the Like


Mr. George Whiteside< no role > one of the Governors reported that in pursuance of on Order
of Court of the 28th. of July last he had made on Inquire and found that Seth
Gulliford
< no role > late Apprentice to William Scripps< no role > was set up for himself and has the Characters
of a Diligent and Sober Man It is Ordered that the Steward do pay the said
Seth Gulliford Ten pounds out of Mr. Lock's Gift to be allowed him in his next
Account.
