And it appears to this Committee that the said salary and other
Perquisites do not exceed a reasonable compensation for the due performance of
the Duties of his Office under the Regulations above proposed

This Court having duly weighed and Consider the said Report Doth Confirm
the same and it is Ordered that the Steward to be Elected do and shall
appropriate the whole of his to the service of this Hospital and Shall not
Follow any Profession Trade Business or other Employment whatever

as a Benefaction to Bethlem Hospital accompanied with the following note Vizt.
"The Governors of Bethlem Hospital are desired to apply the inclosed
"to the use of that Charity being the Humble Expenssion of the Donors
"Gratitude to Almighty God for that Signal Act of his Mercy to those
Kingdoms which is to be publickly Commeraled the 23d of April 1789
It is Ordered that an Advertisement be published in the Papers acknowledging
the Receipt of the Benefation and returning the Thanks of his Court to the pious
Donor
