appointed a Governor


At this Court Edwd. Montague< no role > Esqr . one of the
Masters of the High Court of Chancery was appointed a
Governor of these Hospitals by Richd. Clark< no role > Esqr . Aldn . & Treasr
Pursuant to an Order of Court of the 29th. Day of May 1775
And it is Ordered that a Staff be sent to the said Mr.
Montague forthwith

King Thomas
appointed a Governor


At this Court Thos. King< no role > of Cutlers Hall London Esqr
was appointed a Governor of these Hospitals by Henry Cranke< no role >
Esqr . Auditor General Pursuant to an order of Court of the 27th.
Day of Novr. 1778 And it is Ordered that a Staff be sent
to the said Mr. King forthwith.

took his Charge


At this Court the Charge was read to Willm.

< no role > Esqr . and Robt. Woodmass< no role > Esqr . as Governors of
these Hospitals.

Benefaction of £50 reported


Mr. Treasurer reported that he had received of William
Chamberlayne
< no role > Esqr . £50 for the use of Bridewell and
Bethlem Hospitals. It is Ordered that the Thanks of this
Court be given to the said Mr. Chamberlayne which was
done accordingly.

Woodmass Robert< no role > his Benefaction
of £50 reported


Mr. Treasurer reported that he had received of Robert
Woodmass
< no role > Esqr . £50 for Use of Bridewell & Bethlem
Hospitals It is Ordered that the Thanks of this Court be given
to the said Mr. Woodmass which was done accordingly.

Price Thomas to be paid
£10 Mr. Lock's Gift


Mr. John Turner< no role > one of the Governors reportd. that
in Pursuance of an Order of Court of the 30th. day of April
last he had made an Inquiry and found that Thomas Price< no role >
late Apprentice to William Wilby< no role > Senr . was set up for
himself in his Trade and has the Character of a diligent and
Sober Man It is Ordered that the Steward do Pay the sd.
Thomas Price< no role > Ten Pounds out of Mr. Locks Gift to be
allowed him in his next Account.
