Continued Wednesday 30th. April 1783.

London associated with the Guardians of each Charity
Cherishes in her Bosom and fosters with her Care those
Endowments which the Liberality of Henry & the Piety of
Edward committed to her administration That this happy
Union will operate to the Relief of the distressed Poor there
can be little doubt. The Friends of the Hospital of Bethlem
from the most sanquine Expectations that their ability to
Alleviate the greatest all human Calamities will be enlarged &
Extended they hope to Effect the Purposes they have in View
and entertain full Confidence that the generous assistance of
the oputent and the good will enable them in an eminent
Degree to Lessen the Evils of Humanity.

Court thanks him for his able
and Indicious performance
on the Origin in and Reguse
of Bethlem Hospital


And thereupon a Motion being made and
seconded that the Thanks of this Court be given to Mr.
Bowen for his able and Judicious Performance and the
Question being put it passed in the Affirmative
unanimously. And it is Ordered that the Clerk
do Procure the same to be forthwith Printed Published and
Distributed in the most Extensive and Effectual manner
to Answer the End proposed of promoting the Interest of that
most Excellent Charity Bethlem Hospital and another
Motion being made and seconded that a Drawing be taken of
the Figures in the front of Bethlem Hospital and that the
same be Engraved and Affixed to such Freatise The same
is Ordered accordingly.
