in Pursuance of an Order of Court of the 21st. Day of November
last he had made an Inquiry and found that Thos. Stewart< no role >
late
Apprentice
to Roger Owen< no role >
was set up for himself in his Trade
and has the Character of a diligent and Sober Man It is
Ordered that the Clerk do pay the said Thomas Stewart< no role >
Ten Pounds out of Mr. Fowkes Gift to be allowed him in his
next Account.
At this Court the following poor Boy was
Ordered to be put out Apprentice Vizt.

Whereas it appears to this Court that since the
Poultry
Counter hath been shut up in Order to its being
repaired that many notorious Rogues and Vagabonds have
been Committed to the Prison in this Hospital and that
several have Attempted to Escape and some of them have
forced their way out of the Prison and made their Escape
and that others have attempted to break the Prison which
they very nearly Effected. It is Ordered that it be referred
to the Prison Committee to consider what Steps it may be
necessary to take and what Regulations it may be proper
to make in Order more effectually to secure the said Persons
and the Prisoners therein Confined and it is further
Ordered that a Prison Committee be Summoned on
Monday next for this Purpose.
