bearing date the 19th. day of August 1778 Given Two Hundred
Pounds to Bridewell and Bethlem Hospitals in Case both his
Daughters should happen to die before their respective Shares of the
rest and residue should become due and Payable unto them
According to the true meaning of his Will.

Thomas Bromswich< no role > of Ludgate Hill Esqr . being Proposed
be Henry Major< no role > Esqr . to be Elected a Governor of these Hospitals
It is Ordered that such Election shall be determined by a
Majority of Votes at the next General Court and that Notice of
such intended Election be inserted in the Summons's for such
Court.

Roper John to be paid
£10 Fowkes Gift


The Revd. Dr. Kettilby one of the governors Reported that in
Pursuance of an Order of Court of the 15th. day of July 1778 he
had made an Inquiry and found that John Roper< no role > late Apprentice
to William Farr< no role > was set up for himself in his Trade and has
the Character of a diligent and Sober Man It is Ordered
that the Clerk do pay the said John Roper< no role > Ten Pounds out of
Mr. Fowkes Gift to be allowed him in his next Account

Meckson Thom< no role > as to
be made free


It is Ordered that Thomas Mockson< no role > late Apprentice
to Robert Lemare< no role > be made free of this City.

At this Court the following Poor Boys were Ordered
to be put Apprentice Vizt.

Allen Francis< no role > put
out Appr .


Ryer Rogersto William Edward Lunn< no role > And
Francis Allen< no role > to Robert Lemare< no role > and that the Order
whereby Apprentices are required to be able to read and write
be dispensed with in respect to the said Francis Allen< no role > .
