Continued Thursday 25th November 1779

by a Copy of an Indorsement on the same Lease signed by the
Chamberlain and Assistant Comptroller of the City of London
and bearing date on or about the 1st. day of June now last
past that Licence was Granted to the said Sarah Box< no role > to Assign
the said Lease to George Scott< no role > for the Remainder of the said Term-
and that upon the 9th. day of the same June the said Sarah Box< no role >
Assigned the same Lease accordingly to the said George Scott< no role > and
it also Appears that the Chamberlain of the said City received that
day of the said Sarah Box< no role > £5..5s..0d for 12 Months Rent due at
Christmas last for the Premises at Kingsland belonging to Saint
Bartholomews Hospital and therein mentioned to be Let to her
by Virtue of a Lease from the City and that the said several
Instruments so Prepared and Executed and the Rent so paid to
the said Chamberlain were made and paid without the Concurrence or
Privity of the President treasurer or any other Officer of the said
Hospitals either in respect to the Schedule of Fixtures the Rent Proper
to be reserved or any other matter or thing altho' the Original
Agreement for Letting the Premises so Demised was made & entered
into by the treasurer and Committee of the said Hospital with great
Care and Attention and that although the Rent by such Lease is
reserved for the Use and Benefit of the said Hospital such Rent has
not been paid nor Offered nor tendered to be paid to the treasurer
Rent Gatherer or any other Officers of the said Hospital to be
Applied for the Use or benefit of the Poor of the said Hospital.

That other Leases have very lately been Granted by the
said Court of Common Council of diverse Houses Lands or Heredits
belonging to the aforesaid several Hospitals respectively or some of
them without the concurrence of the President treasurer or any
other Officer of such Hospitals respectively two Leases of Houses
belonging to Bridewell Hospital to Brass Crosby< no role > and Sylvanus
Hall
< no role > which have been Prepared and Ingresed if the Seal could
have been obtained and that two other like Leases are now agreed
to be Granted by the said Common Council (Vizt.) one to Samuel
Hanning
< no role > of Houses belonging to Christ Hospital and another to
Thomas Owen< no role > of a House belonging to Saint Bartholomew' s
