It is Ordered That the Minutes of the last Court be
Confirmed except as to the power given to the Clerk of these Hospitals
to sign the Certificate of Mr. William Kinleside< no role > the late treasurer and
in that respect It is further Ordered that such Certificate be not
signed till after the said William Kinleside< no role > has resigned his Staff
as a Governor of these Hospitals

elected a Govr .


At this Court John Davenport< no role > of Teddington in the County of
Middlesex Esqr . Was Unanimously Elected a Governor of these Hospital
and It is Ordered that a Staff be sent him forthwith.

Littler Hodgkis Thos< no role > .
Esqr . nomd. a Govr .


At this Court Thomas Hodgkis Littler< no role > of Watling Street Esqr .
was appointed a Governor or these Hospitals by the Right Worshipful
Sir Walter Rawlinson< no role > knt . and Aldn . President pursuant to an
Order of Court dated 29th. May 1775 and It is Ordered that a
Staff be sent the said Mr. Littler forthwith

Upon Reading a Report from the House Committee bearing
date the 4 day of October last under the Hands of Nathl. Thomas< no role > Esq
Aldn . treasurer Richd. Speed< no role > Esqr . Mr. Deputy Wm. Rogers< no role > and Mr.
Richd Crowther< no role > in the words and figures following The Revd. Mr
Broughton in behalf of the Society for promoting Christian Knowledge
Attended this Committee and acquainted then That the Society were
desirous of Treating with the Hospital for a Piece of Ground in
Bridewell Precinct part of the premises lately in the Occupation
of Mr. Duffield for Building a House with proper Offices But before
they Entered into such Treaty wished to be Informed whether the
Hospital could and were inclined to Grant the said Society a
Lease of the said Ground and premises for Term of 61 years
at a certain Ground Rent renewable on a Fine certain forever
at the Option of the said Society All which is nevertheless
Submitted to the Judgment of the Court Etc "It is Ordered that it
be referred to the House Committee to treat with the said Society for
Letting the said Premises in such manner as they shall think most
for the Interest of these Hospitals.

Order of Court of the 29th. day of May last whereby It was Ordered
that every future treasurer should give Security himself and two
Sureties Jointly and severally Bound in £5000 The Sureties to be
approved by the House Committee and a General Court Nathl. Thomas< no role > Esqr
Alderman treasurer proposed the following Gentlemen as his
Securities Vizt. Gilbert Michell< no role > of Thornhill in the County of York Esqr .
