Continued Wednesday 30th. June 1762

Vizt. Joshua Cricket< no role > of Saint Leonard Shoreditch Engine weaver
Ralph Lasting< no role > of White Bear Alley Kent Street Southwark Engine
weaver and Robert Smart< no role > of Peter Street near Moore Fields Engine weaver

They all Proposed themselves to be of the Church of England as by
Lan Established And the Committee upon the best Inquiry they
could make have no reason to Glyset to the Characters of any of
them or their Still in their Respective Trades And the Comittee
think it proper to take notice that there is now but one Engines
weaver in this Hospital All Which is Submited to the Judgmt. of the
Court and Ordered to be reported at the Next Courts

The Court Preceeded to the Election of an Artsmaster and the
Several Humble Petitions of Joshua Cricket< no role > Enquire weaver
Ralph Lenting< no role > Engine weaver and Robert Smart< no role > Engine weaver
being Severally read and each Setting forth he is Willing to take such
a Number of Apprentices as the Court shall Order And to keep his Appartmt.
in Repair with Flooring Glaying Plaistering and Whiting at his Own
Expence And to Comply with all Order of the Court and Comittee made & to be
Made in Relation to Artsmasters And Each praying to be admitted an
Artsmaster-The Govrs. Gave their Ballets which being Cast up the
Number appeared to be for Each as follows Vizt.

Whereupon The Rt. Worshipful Sir Richd. Glyn< no role > Bart . Aldr . President
Declared the said Joshua Cricket< no role > Engine weaver Duly Elected And it is
Ordered that the said Joshua Cricket< no role > Producing a Copy of his Freedom of
this City and Delivering a Certificate of his Last Legal Settlement to the
Clock be Admitted an Artsmaster of this Hospital untill the next
Election Day And to have Such Appartments as the Comittee of this
House shall think Proper-Upon Giving Security as has been Usually
Done in the like Case-And that the Journeymen which they shall
Employ in their Trade shall be such as have served their Apprenticeship
in this Hospital
