Wapping No. 28. 29 referred}

Upon reading the Humble Petition of Jonathan Lade< no role > of the Parish of St. Johns Wapping
in the County of Middlesex Ship Chandler setting forthThat the Petitioner proposes to take
a Lease with Usual Covenants in Leases from the Governours to their Tenants at Wapping
of Two Messuages or Tenements situate lying and being in Wapping [..] Street near King Edward
Stairs Lease No. 28 & 29 for 21 years from last today And to pay the Yearly Rent of four pounds for each House
Quarterly Clear of Taxes at the Counting house of the Hospital of Bridewell London
and to layout Two hundred and Ten Pounds in Repairing the Premisses and to pay a
Fine of One hundred and Five pounds and to execute a Counter part of such £ case
And praying the Governours to grant him a Lease according to his said proposall
It is Ordered that the said Petition be referred to The Committee of this House to
Consider thereof and to Report their Opinion thereon to the Court.

London Linnen draper and John Morley< no role > of Colchester in the County
of Essex Esqr . of Timothy Tenant< no role > junior deced setting forth
That on the 24th. of Janry 1734 /5. the Governors agreed with Timothy
Tenant senior and Timothy Tenant< no role > Junior to let them a Lease of
A Messuage or Tenement near King Edward Stairs called the Golden
Cock in Wapping to comence from Christmas 1734 at the yearly Rent of
£28. clear of TaxesThat the said Timothy Tenant junr. surwood
his father & is lately dead having first made his Will & the Petitioners
Exors thereof who are thereby become untilled to the premesThat the
said Timothy Tenant< no role > senior & junior both dying before the said Lease
was executed by themAnd praying that a Lease of the premes
may be now made for the remainder of the said Term of Twenty one
years to John Crooke< no role > of Wapping Distiller who is willing to accept
thereof on the same TermsIt is Ordered tha the said Petition
be referred to the Committee of this House to consider thereof and to
report their Opinion thereon to the Court.
