Beadles Gra ½ yr Midsr


Upon reading the humble petition of the four beadles of this Hospital for the
usual Gratuitys of Forty Shillings a peice in respect of the half year ending
at Midsr. last for that their Salarys are but smallIt is Ordered
that the Clerk of this Hospital do give and pay unto them Forty Shillings
a peice to be allowed him in his next Account

Basketmens do


Upon reading the humble petition of the three Beadles or Basketmen of the
Hospital of Bethlem for their usual Gratuitys of Twenty Shillings a peice
in respect of the half year ending at Midsr last for that their Salarys are
but smallIt is Ordered that the Clerk of this Hospital do give and pay
unto them Twenty Shillings a peice to be allowed him in him next Account.

Upon reading the humble petition of Ann Burren< no role > setting forthThat by
Indre of Lease 1st Augt 1673. The Govr demised to John Welham< no role > & Elizt< no role >
his Wife A Peice of Ground & Joyle with five Misses therein Erected
by said Welburne East and house then in the Occupation of Wm
Blackberry West & South on old Gravel Lane & Morth en certian house
late in the Occupation of Webb seiturnte in Waping To hold fir
Laday 1673. for 27 years at £2. Pann Payable Quarterly which leat
will Expire at Laday1745.That said Lease by several meone Assigement
became vested in the PetrThat as the premes are much decoged That Petr
is willing to take a new Loase their of for 21 year from the Expection of
the formes Lease at the old tent of £2. P ann clan of Taxes & to Lay out
£200. in repairing the premes to accounte a Counte part of such lock
and praying a New Lease according to her said proposallsit is order
that the said Petr. be referred to the Comee of this house to consider thereof
& to report thir opinion thereon to the Court.

Upon reading the humble petition of John Trottman< no role > Stocking Weaver Sitting of
That he served his Apprenticeship in this Hospital to Mr Wm Spencer< no role >
by Indre dat 6 May 1734 . & by an Order of Court 9th. Der 1742. he was
the 22d. June last made free of this City & is set up for himself in his said
Trade at Mrs. Burrows in Gunpowder Alley Shoe Lane And the Court
being informed that the Comee of this house on the 29th. of June last
inspected the Book kept of Apprentice behaviour and found no complaint
against himIt is Ordered That Mr John Parcas Mr Abraham [..]
& Mr. Deputy Nashthree of the Governors of these Hospital
or any two of them be desired to enquire whether the said John Trotting
be set up in his Trade & of his hopefullness therein & to make their Report
to the Court.

At this Comee the Petition of John Gorrney was read (which was referred
to them by order of Court the 2d. of June instant ) settingforthThat
he holds under the Govrs. a Firm called Cottington in kent at £253 [..]
the Lease whereof hath been sometime expiredThat a new floor is
wanted in the Barn in the Farm Yard which will take about 40 Deals
& with the Joysts and Workmanship will amount to about £12That
he is much [..] raitred for room for his family and there being an [..]
at the back front the Wings whereof extended 12 foot beyond the Middle
part which is about 18 foot in Length there might be a Ground Room
