comitted to the Hempblocks on Wednesday last for pulling and abusing
William Jones< no role > Apprentice to Mr Geldart, was reprimanded by Mr President .
and upon his promise to behave well for the future was discharged out of
Custody

inquire into his behaviour}


Ordered that it be referred to the Comittee of this House to inquire into
the behaviour of Nathaniel Whitamore< no role > one of the Artsmasters of this
Hospital with regard to employing his Apprentice in Husbandry, and
report the same to the Court

Jackson John< no role > To have £10
of Mr Lock's Gift}


Mr Robert Hall< no role > one of the Governors of these Hospitals reporting to
this Court that in pursuance of an Order of Court the 17th of July last, He &
Mr Richard Bridgman< no role > another of the Governors of these Hospitals had
made Inquiry and found that John Jackson< no role > who served his apprenticeship
in this Hospital is set up for himself in the Trade of a weaver and
hath the Character of a diligent and sober man It is Ordered that
the Steward of this Hospital do give and pay unto the said John
Jackson
< no role > Ten pounds out of Mr Lock's Gift to be allowed him in his next
Account

of Mr Lock's Gift}


Mr Thomas Morris< no role > and Mr Nathaniel Nash< no role > two of the Govr of these
Hospitals reporting to this Court that in pursuance of an Order of Court the
31st of October last They had made Enquiry and found that John Webster< no role > who
served his apprenticeship in this Hospital is set up for himself in the Trade
of a Tayler and hath the Character of diligent and sober Man It is Ordered
That the Steward of this Hospital do give and pay unto the said John Webster< no role >
Ten Pounds eat of Mr Locks Gift to be allowed him in his next Account

Mecum John To have £10
of Mr Locks Gift}


Mr John May< no role > one of the Govrs of these Hospitals reporting to this Court that
in pursuance of an Order of Court the 21st of June last, He and Mr Deputy Wiley
another of the Govrs. of these Hospitals had made Enquiry and found that John
Mecum
< no role > who served his apprenticeship in this Hospital is set up for himself in the
Trade of a Weaver and hath the Character of a diligent and sober Man It is
Ordered That the Steward of this Hospital do give and pay unto the said John
Mecum
< no role > Ten pounds out of Mr Locks Gift to be allowed him in his next Account

Rouse James Petr. for time to
pay his Arrears of Rent}


Upon Reading the humble Petition of James Rouse< no role > setting forthThat he is
Tenant to the Govrs. of a House formerly two Houses in Bridewell precinct at the
Yearly Rent of £15 and has been in possession thereof Eleven Years & upwards, during
which time he hath laid out in repairs on the premisses £150 and upwardsThat ye
Petr. being in arrears was ordered by the Govrs. and did agree sometime past to satisfy
those arrears, by paying Quarterly the Rent of half a Year till the whole arrear
should be fully paid but ye petr. not having been able to make inch payments &
being now in arrear about three Years rent, Mr Acton the steward had caused the
petrs. Goods to be destrained to satisfy the same which will be ye intire ruin of the
Petr. unless come time longer be granted to satisfy the sameand praying the
Govrs to grant him some further time for paymt. of his arrears of Rent or to give
him such other Releif as to the Govrs. shall seem meetOrdered the said
Petition do laps upon the Table
