Upon reading the humble Petition of William Wilby< no role > Weaver SettingforthThat he
servd his Apprenticeship in this Hospital to John Burnham< no role > one of the Artsmaster by Indre
dated the 22d. of Decr. 1724 and by an Order of Court of the 22d. day of April last he was
on the 16th. day of May 1732 made free of this City and is set up for himself in his said Trade
at Mr. Sadgroves over against the White house in Water Lane Black Fryars and
Mr. Treasurer reporting to this Court that the Comittee of this House on the 21st. of July
last inspected the Book kept of Apprentices behaviour and found no Complaint against
him It is Ordered That Mr. John Watts< no role > Mr. Thomas Nash< no role > and Mr. Robert
Glynne
< no role > three of the Governors of these Hospitals or any two of them be desired to enquire
whether the said William Wilby< no role > be set up in his said Trade and of his hopefullness therein and
to make their Report to the next Court.

Mr. Treasurer acquainted this Court that Complaint had been made to the Comittee
of this House That on Thursday the 27th. day of July last in the evening the Apprentices in
this Hospital to the number of 40. or 50. got a Fidler upon the Feet pace of the Lobby stairs
and there made a great noise and disturbance and that Thomas Coles< no role > the Portersman being
called to dispose them He spoke to several of them and desired them to depart and not make
such a noise upon which they went down and planting themselves near the foot of the
Stayes made several Shouts and [..] zzas by way of decision as Mr. Taylor the Clerk
of these Hospitals was passing along the Court yard and he desiring Coles who Stood by to take
notice of them and give him some of their names the next morning he said he would do so
and that he knew several of them very well but the next morning said he could not be positive
as to any one of them and being called before the Comittee yesterday he said he coud not be
Certain as to the name of any one And he being now called before the Court he persisted
that he could not tell any one of their names Whereupon It is Ordered
that the said Thomas Coles< no role > be suspended from his place of Portersman until the
further order of this Court.
