Order-That ye Comittee of Bethlem
agree for ye provisions ½ Yearly}

Upon reading a Report from the Grand Comittee of the Hospital of Bethlem
dated the 16th. day of May last under the hands of Dr. Richard Rawlinson< no role > Mr. James
Bartlet< no role > Mr. Richard Bridgman< no role > Mr. John Lee< no role > Mr. Thos. Cox< no role > & Mr. Deputy Farrington
as follows Vizt.This Comittee enquiring into the manner how this Hospital has
been usually servd with Provisions The Steward acquainted them That he had taken
the Mutton Veal and Pick from one Butcher and the Beef from another who have servd
the Hospital for several years past and that he constantly lays an account of ye. quantity
and prices before the Comittee every Saturday & that when the Comittee have directed
any deduction to be made out of any of the Bills he has allways made such deduction
accordingly and that he has taken the Meat at the Market prices without making an
Agreement for any certain time It is the Opinion of this Comittee that an Agreement
be made as soon as conveniently can be for the Beef Mutton Veal & Pick at a certain
Price to Michaelmas next and after that time from Michaelmas to Lady day and from
Lady day to Michaelmas yearlyAnd that the like Agreement be made for the
MealAnd his Ordered That this Opinion be reported to the next Court All
which [..] is submitted to the Judgment of the Court toThis Court Doth
confirm the said Report And it is Ordered that it be referred back to the
said Comittee or any [..] of them to make agreemts. accordingly with such Pson or
Psons as they shall think fit And it is further ordered that it be inserted in the Tickets
for sumoning the said Comittee to meet that it is for the purpose of making agreements
for the Provisions of the said Hospital
