At this Court the Charge was read to Mr. Edward Clowne< no role > , John

Apprentices


At this Court a Report was read from the Comittee of this House bearing
date ye. 15th. day of this Instant Month of April as followeth Vizt.This Comittee
to fill up the number of Apprentices at Easter as has been usual directed the following
poor Boys to be put Apprentices in this Hospital at the recomendation of the several
Governors hereaftermentiond Vizt.

provide a Dinner as their Bien Veme for the President Treasurer & Governors to dire
together according to antient custom And in case any of the Stewards elected decline o refuse
the same the Clerk is to supply the number in Course.

Mr. Treasurer requainted ye. Court that Mrs. Whitmore Wife of Nathaniel
Whitmore
< no role > one of the Artsmasters of this Hospital had this morning made a Complaint
to the Comittee of this House That James Simpson< no role > his Apprentice lay out of his
House several nights and had received money for over work which was not done and
hundred ye. rest of his Apprentices from doing their TaskWherefore it is
Ordered That the said James Simpson< no role > be corrected in the presence of the rest of the
Apprentices and then sent home to his Master which was done accordingly.
