Upon reading a Report from the Committee of this house under the hands of
John Tayler< no role > Esqr . Treasurer Mr. Robert Ancient< no role > Mr. Thomas Davies< no role > and Mr. Thomas
Hammond
< no role > bearing date the 9th. day of February last as follows Vizt.In
Pursuance of an Order of Court of the tenth day of February 1726. This Comittee
have taken into consideration the petition and proposal of Henry Perrott< no role > Esqr .
Setting forth That he holds the Rectory of Northleigh in Oxfordshire at the yearly
Rent of £20. and the Quitt Rent of 17s. 6d. to the Crown under a Lease from the
Governors of this Hospital dated the 24th. June 1698. for 31. years from Michas
then last which will expire at Michas 1728. for which Lease a Five of £1000. was
paid and praying that he may have a new Lease for 31. years from Michas next
at the Same Rent and Covenants for which he is willing to pay the like Fine and he
being called in and having amended his said proposal by offering to give the same Rent
aand a Fine of £1100. vizt. £600. on the Courts ordering the Lease and
£500. on Sealing it This Comittee are of opinion That the said Lease be made
to the Petitioner upon which he gave five Guineas to the poors Box all which nevertheless
is Submitted to Judgment of the CourtAnd also upon reading a Memotum.
Subscribed to the Rent Roll for the year 1705. which was likewise read at the said
Comittee and is as follows Vizt.It appearing that the Rectory is of Very
considerable value whenever Application Shall be made to renew the Lease thereof
the Governors are desired to inform themselves of the true yearly value thereof
before the said Lease be received having paid but £1000. Fine when last renewed
This Court having duly weighd and considerd the said Report doth Confirm
the same and Order that a Lease to made to the said Mr. Perrett accordingly.

Upon reading the humble Petition of William Cooke< no role > Citizen and Weaver of
London SettingforthThat he servd his apprenticeship in this Hospital to Mr. Phillip
Gill
< no role > one of the Artsmasters of the said Hospital and has been sett up for himself in
his said Trade upwards of 3. years and there being a Vacancy of an Artsmaster in
the said Hospital about 2. years ago. he put up for the same and lost it and that the
Petr. for abt. 2. years past had employd the said Gill who sold the Petrs. goods during
thae time and that the sd. Gill intending to resign his said pleaseand the Petr. being very
ready comply with all the Orders of Court in relation to Artsmasters prayd that
he might be elected an Artsmar. in the room of the said Phillip Gill< no role > It is Order'd
that the Election of an Artsmaster in the room of the said Gill be at the next Court
and that notice thereof be incerted in the Ticketts.

Upon reading the humble Petition of Elizabeth Campbell< no role > Settingforth
That her late Husband Robert Record Hasting< no role > 's Grandmother Margery
Turmball
< no role > Widow by her Deeds dated about 47. years ago gave a Rent Charge of
£36. P Ann on her Estate scituate in St. Pauls Shadwell . Ratcliffe highway to
Christs Hosptial. Bridewell and others for a certain number of years then to come and which
will not end and expire till the year 1735. that the same consisting in houses under mortgage
and in continued repair and by Losses by Tenants and standing empty the Petr. hath for several
years past made little or nothing thereof towards her Support whereby she is reducd to a very
low Condition & had been in Prison lately near two Months and that there being publick
Charitys to be disposd of by the Governors of this Hospital at this time of the year, prayd
there to take her Case into their consideration & make her some allowance out of the
Charity Gifts towards her support at this time she ebing really in great want And also upon
reading a Certificate under the hand of John Keeley< no role > Receiver to Christs Hospital Subscribed
to the said Petition and Certifying that the Contents of ye. said Petition were true
It is Ordered that the said Petition be rejected.
