Inquiry has been made of his Character and Ability by some of the Governors of these
Hospitals and Report thereof made to the Court.

Settingforth That he has Carried
on his said Trade as a Master for above Twenty six Years And ling Desirous to
become an Artsmaster is willing to keep as many Boys as shall be Allotted him and
to Confirm himself to the Orders and Rules of this Hospital And to give Security
as in such Cases in usualAnd Praying to be Elected an Artsmaster
of this HospitalIt is Ordered That Mr. Lowth Mr. Ballard
and Mr. Harrison three of the Governors of these Hospitals be Desired to Inquire
into the Character and Ability of the said
