Upon Reading a Report from the Comee of this House bearing
date the 15th day of Decemr instant in the Words following
Vizt.This Comee observing that Several of the apprentices
in this hospital frequently Stay Out Late at nights and inquiring
of the Masters why they Suffer their apprentices to go out every night
when they keep late hours The Masters answered that all
the apprentices in the hospitals Claim the Liberty of Going out
every might as soon as their work & done and Constantly do so
without Lease from their Masters, which they say has been an
antient Custome. The Comee considering the same are of
Opinion That the apprentices in this Hospital Should not go out
of the hospitals without Leave from their respective Masters
or Mistress in the absence if their Masters This Court having
duly weighed and Considered the said Report doth Confirm ye same
and it is Ordered that the same be observed accordingly.

of this hospital Complained of his apprentice Richard Chambers< no role >
that he runn away the first day of Novemr Last and is not
yet returnedCaleb Oakes< no role > his fellow apprentice Says that
Chambers designes to got another Master in Order to go to sea
Ordered that this be Reported to the Court in order to
present Such practices in him and the rest of the apprentices
This Court doth Order that it be Referred to the Comittee
to this house to consider how to present the like greivance for
the Future.

Upon reading a Report dated the Twentieth day of this Instant
Decemr. under the hands of Mr. Depty Saml. Edwards< no role > and Mr. Robert
Bishop< no role > two of the Governor s of these hospitals That inpresuame
of an Order of Court of the 17th day of Novemr. Last they have
made Inquiry and defined that John Wise< no role > (who served his
apprenticeship in this hospitals is sett up for herself withe Trade
of a Weaver and hath the Character of a deligent sober man It
is Ordered that the Steward of this hospitals do give and pay
unto the sd John Wise< no role > Ten Pounds out of Mr Lock's Gift
