17th Novemr. 1721

Child from him and they say he has told 'em he lay wth woman before
he same apprentice and that he had layn with his Mistress and the
Maids he Confest what he did to the Child and as to the rest he said
of was only talk but that he had not done any Such thingsMrs
Eaton a Midwife said she viewed the childs body which Look inflamed
and as if Some Violence has been offered Ordered that the said
Nathaniel Steed< no role > be sett to the Hempsblock till further Order.

This Court doth agree wth. the Comee as to John Busher< no role >
William Human< no role > and Richard Tolly< no role > and it is Order'd That they
be accordingly consented And as to Nathanl Steed< no role > the Court being informed
he is very Silk It is Orderd That he be Sent home to his
father for a Months or till he be Reward & that he be in the mean
time provided with Physick at the expence of the hospital

Upon reading a Report from the Comee of this house bearing date
the 27th day of Octor. Last in the words following viztAt This
Comee John Machin< no role > Weaver one of the Artmasr . of the sd hospital
Complained of his apprentice William Seamer< no role > that he neglects his
work goes out wth out his Leave & Stays late at mights & likewise of
John Boys< no role > for re same offence.

Also George Hooker< no role > Weaver one of yd artsmar . Complained of his
apprentice Geo: Birkhead< no role > that he neglects his goes out wth but his
Leave and Stays late at night one till12. at night & another time till
6 in the morningAnd that Edward who served abot. two
Years has run away three times & will not settle to his buisness & both
his parents & he are desirous he way be discharged which his Mas: is
likewise content wth

Also Danl. Nipp< no role > Weaver one of ye artsmar s. Compalined of his apprentice
Richard Ekerman< no role > Robt. Morgan< no role > & Stepn. Plewrights< no role > that they neglect
their work go out wth out his Leave & Stay late at nights they answer
that their Master will not give 'em encouragemt to work by allowing
'em as much as he formerly did for overwork he says he formerly
allowed 'em 18d. a yard but Trade being fallen off and the prizes
of Goods Sessen'd he cannot now afford to allow 'em more than
12d a yard with which they will not be Satisfied

Geo: Bowers< no role > & Wm Gill< no role > the 2 first run away the 17th & Stayd
out till the 28th. or 29th of Septemr the other Gill run away the
9th of June Last & did not return till the 26th of Septemr. following
