Ordered that the following persons who Served their
Apprenticeships in this hospital be made free of this City
Vizt.

At this Court Richard Pratt< no role > desired to be made free of this
City haveing Served his apprenticeship in this hospital to John
Burnham
< no role > who being present alledged that the Said Pratt haveing
been idle in his apprenticeship had promised to Serve him Six
weeks after the expiration of his Apprenticeship but had
not done it which he now acknowledged whereupon It is
Ordered that he attend the Court agen when he has Served
the said Six weeks

Mr. Depty . Robt. Stamper< no role > sr . Saml. Clarke< no role > , Mr. Bra: Smyth< no role > John Cottle< no role > Esqr . Mr Saml. Keble< no role > & Mr
Christor. Bateman< no role > dated ye 21th. day of this instant June in yd words followingIn Pursuance
of an Ordr of Court of ye 13th. of May last This Comee Sent to Mr. Henry Burlace< no role > to treat wth. him
abot rebuilding his house which was burnt in Fowks Court & he attended this Comee ye &
day of May last & then offered to pay £200, to be discharged of his Rent Covenants from this
last provided ye Governor s. would rebuild yd house & Let him a Lease for 21 Years at ye four
Rent of [..] P Annu or otherwise he said he would rebuild it himself And he attending yd Comee
agen this day insists be ran advance no more than £200 & hopes ye Court will consider his
Loss & that he Shall not be compelled to rebuild.

This Comee have also ye Opinions of sr . Constantine Phipps< no role > & Mr. Allington upon
ye Cases of Mr Simpson & Mr ScottAnd as to Mr Simpson they both agree that a Court of Equity
will compell him to accept a Lease & execute a Counterpart thereof according to his agreemt.
And as to Mr Scott sr Constantine Phipps< no role > is of Opinion that he may be compelled to take a Lord
if the Governor s. think it worth their while to oblige him to accept itBut Mr Allington is of
Opinion that Mr Scotts is not Such an agreemt. as a Court of Equity can carry into Execucon
For the Mr. Scott proposed yet has he not agreed in writing to accept a Lease- Wherefore
(he conteives) that this Agreemt. will amount to no more than a Lease by Paroll what by [..]
Statute of frauds Etc will be good but for 3 years only & cannot bind ye Tenant to rebuilt in
this or any other Case So that (he is of Opinion it will be ye best way to compound yd manner
with Mr Troth if he can be brought to give any thing to be discharged from her agreement

This Comee also Caused a Modell to be prepared of the 4 houses to be rebuilt in
Fowks Court & a Draught of ye Scanthings of Timber & other particulars wch. ye Comee Judged
proper for yd building & furnishing thereof Copys of which particulars were delivered to five
workhouse to wake then estimates thereon and accordingly they brought in their estimated the
day & two of them happened to agree therein & proposed to build ye sd house from ye
flatt & finish ye Same according to the said Modell & particulars for ye Since of £2000
and to do ye Brickwork of ye Valuts at £5. P Rod including ye Charge of Centering
& this is ye Lowest proposal that has been offered to the Comee Ordered that
it be Referred back to the said Comee to treat and agree wth the said Tenants
of Fowks Court in the sd Report mentioned or to proceed agt. 'em at Lawar
Councel Shall advise And to Report then proceedings therein from time to time to
their Court
